Children's Television Series, Stage Plays and Picture Books:
Bing & Moo - animated tv series, stage play and picture books
Bing & Moo, a couple of children from the Stone Age, take us on a whirlwind tour of social evolution
Imagine you are sitting watching TV, on a nice comfy chair. ‘Crack’, the television vanishes, and ‘Thwack’, the comfy chair disappears and ‘Bump’, you are sitting on a hard, stone floor in a large, dark cave. Your nice clothes, maybe jeans and a T-shirt, are replaced by a (rather smelly) animal skin. Your entire house has vanished. In fact, all the houses in your street go, and your neighbours all share the same cave - even the grumpy old man on the corner!
Welcome to Bing and Moo’s world. A long time ago, when people lived all together in caves… children did not have play stations, televisions, not even footballs.

Bing is the youngest son of the clan leader, babied by his mother, ignored by the tribe and either bullied or patronised by his older brothers.
He constantly questions 'why'. Who don't we have numbers? Why can't our cave-paintings have pretty flowers? Bing's questions and answers, with some help from Moo, take us on a whirlwind tour of social evolution. Moo's tribe was wiped out by the Cave God in a terrible earthquake and she is left alone. She moves into a cave of her own, in the forest near Bing's clan, and he discovers her one day playing with wolf cubs. Moo is clever, the first person to match Bing's curiosity, and becomes his partner in crime as they seek to make the world 'easier' together. |
