I’m in the re-write stage of 3 scripts and I’m struck by how bloody verbose I can be! My re-writes always involve cutting reams of unnecessary script. I'm not the only one, and I think this is a writer learning curve. My surgical eye turned to Facebook, emails, blogs - and the clever, convoluted sentences people use to describe what they had for breakfast. I don’t think it’s about showing off "Look at me, I know lots of words"? Rather a joy of doing what we love, and wanting to experiment with our vocabulary and relish the act of writing. Blah, blah, the point is it doesn't make a good read! It's a bore trawling an autohagiographer’s too-long sentences awkwardly arranged around an unusual word (see?). | I'm not allowed to ramble any more so I have to vent my whimsy though random pictures |

a full page response. But there’s so much to say! But is there? No! Be concise (note to self... and other new writers) and don't try to be too clever. Twitter is great for frugality so I’ll activate my meagre posts. Not that I shut down my account, just that I can rarely think of anything worth saying so sparely. Which is kind of my point...
